Kelly Bar Casagrande 4/46m

Kelly Bar is a part of a drilling tool that is used on drilling rigs for deep foundation drilling. Drilling with a Kelly bar is one of the most popular and classic methods of constructing bored piles.
The Kelly bar transfers torque from the rotary and pressure from the drilling rig’s feed system to the drilling tool, which is mounted on the bottom of the Kelly bar. Together with a Kelly bar, tools such as an auger, a drilling bucket, a core barrel, and a bell bucket are used.
The Kelly bar consists of 2 – 5 telescopic sections with a system of welded guides and locks inside and outside of each section. They transfer torque and pressure to the tool.
To complete the entire line of drilling rigs, kelly bars designed for different torques are produced. In addition, kelly rods differ in the length in the transport and working position, the number of sections, and the size of the connector for attaching the drilling tool and swivel.
