Truck brand Different
New or second hand base truck
  • Description
  • Characteristics

Geomil Equipment’s Grizzly is the universal concept for a fully ballasted truck for Cone Penetration Testing (CPT). Its design brings unmatched advantages over conventional systems. The complete CPT installation (load bearing sub-chassis construction, hydraulic system, controls, working cabin, and respective interior) comes as a separate unit and can be mounted on nearly any heavy-duty, three-axle truck, regardless of truck brand.
The Grizzly is available in two configurations:
• Classic, robust, and easy to handle with manual hydraulic control
• Premium, the state-of-the-art solution with advanced and fully automated HMI control
Whether the new or second-hand base truck will be procured from Geomil, provided by the customer, and supplied to Geomil, or made available at the client’s location, the ready-to-go and pre-assembled Grizzly concept can be installed on the truck anywhere. A great variety of base trucks can be utilized as carrier. Also, expensive long-distance or overseas truck shipments to and from the Geomil production facilities can be avoided.
In case a customer prefers a locally available base truck, Geomil will only require some basic technical information in order to verify the suitability of the truck and to design a simple adapter frame.
Installation of the Grizzly on the truck elsewhere than at the Geomil facilities will be conducted by a team of trained and experienced Geomil engineers. All the customer needs to provide are basic workshop facilities (crane, forklift, and tooling). The standard Grizzly is a turn-key operational concept, with standard features and options calculated at utmost attractive financial conditions. It also allows for substantially shorter delivery times as there is no need to wait for the delivery of the base truck.
Special client demands or site-specific modifications can be incorporated against reasonable surcharge, and technical feasibility provided
