  • Description
  • Characteristics

The Geomil Equipment Lynx-200 is a compact and versatile self-propelled unit, specifically designed for Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) in confined or difficult to access areas where larger and fully ballasted rigs cannot be deployed.
Base of the Lynx-200 is a rubber track system providing excellent maneuverability while minimizing possible damage to the pavement or other surfaces.
The position of the 200 kN push frame close to the center of gravity ensures full use of the dead weight of the rig.
Additional reaction force can be obtained from ground anchors, which are placed on either side of the rig. Depending on how much reaction force is required, the operator can install 1 or 2 anchors on each side.
The anchors are placed using the automatic hydraulic gear which is found on the rear end of the Lynx-200. Rotation and down feed are synchronized easing the anchor installation.
As the anchors are aligned with the longitudinal axis of the rig complicated maneuvering is reduced, making the anchoring process straight forward and extremely efficient.
Four hydraulic jacks allow for horizontal leveling of the rig on uneven terrain.
The Lynx-200 is driven by a Hatz Silent Pack diesel engine and hydraulic piston pump.
Driving, leveling and anchoring are fully controlled by a wireless remote control. The operator has good access to the push frame and the tube rack, which can be easily rotated for a convenient working position
